- Why are you in the care sector?
I feel I knew from a fairly young age I wanted to go into care, a career in the social care sector is obviously very rewarding gives you job satisfaction and opportunities to progress in your career.
- What do you enjoy about the care sector?
I enjoy making a difference to people’s lives, they appreciate your time and what we do for them. It can also be fun and you can learn from experience
- What experience do you have to work in the care sector?
I have 13yrs experience in the care sector; I started in a day centre for Adults, Residential care home, EMI care home and Dementia
- What are you qualifications?
I have level 2,3 and 4 in Health and Social Care and level 3 and 5 in Leadership and Management.
- What are your hobbies?
I enjoy reading, watching TV and spending time with my children and grand children.
- What motivates you to succeed in the care sector?
I like learning new things, working as a team, leading a team to success, meeting dead lines, targets and goals.
- Tell me a little about your care team?
Our care team are very passionate about there work, very caring natured and work well as a team. They help each other and are very reliable
- Why is it important to have stimulating activities in your home?
This is important as our residents need social stimulation on a daily basis to reduce the risk of low mood are isolated, they do require encouragement as they have different preferences with which activity they wish to join in with.
- Why should your home look after someone else’s loved one?
I feel we are a very good care home, it is a good size as some bigger homes can be daunting to some residents .We don’t have a lot of rolling staff coming and going and provide good care.
- Would you place your loved one in your home?
I would place a loved one in our care home as I work on the floor with staff and they are very caring and passionate about their job role. Staffs are very welcoming and approachable.
